My Type of Holiday-Vacay!

I think my vacation started when me and my Karatedo team participated in an event called Laro't Saya sa Parke.

Philippine Karate Traditional and Sports (PKTS) - Ilocos Sur Team. December 9, 2021.
The Laro't Saya sa Parke is an event administered by the Philippine Sports Commission in partnership with the Ilocos Sur Government held at the Bicentennial Park in Bantay, Ilocos Sur. This event is an invite to fellow citizens of the province to participate in not-so-popular sports such as Karatedo, Taekwondo, Arnis, Pencak Silat, Ping-Pong, Sepak Takraw, and Chess for free. All ages were welcome to join every Thursday to Sunday at 4pm to 6pm.

My team and I usually ends our sessions later than most sports team because we normally start training when the sun is already setting. We have a routine every week such as wearing our kimono during Thursdays and Sundays to practice our kata (form) and kihon (basic form), while wearing random athletic attires on Fridays and Saturdays for kumite (sparring).
The experience was great. We got to showcase our sporty-side to everyone, enjoy our hearts out, and get brutally tired at the same time. But it was worth it.
Sadly, the event was put on hold because Covid-19 cases were yet again rising. Hopefully, we get to experience Laro't Saya sa Parke again some time soon.
The next best thing about my holiday vacation would be our Christmas and New Year celebration.

Our Christmas celebration last 2021 and New Year's fest was just like a usual. Nothing grand, nothing fancy. Just me and my family.
We normally celebrate every holiday with my mother's side of the family. It is where we do things every year. Birthdays? Sure! Academic achievement? Heck yeah! Christmas? Count them in! But to be honest, I have always liked my mom's side more than my father's 'cause I would rather get basked under the sun all day than do lazing around the house.
Anyway, holidays! My family and I usually do our own things during the daytime of the holiday's eve. Sometimes we play a family game, sometimes we host games for our community's children. But last year, we did our own thing. You know, try to prepare ourselves for the night. We didn't ate dinner together that day since we all have different food tasks. Mama had to cook her signature pansit, I had to prepare the ingredients for carbonara, my cousin needed to fry some lumpia. We were busy to interact with each other but it still felt as if we were together, I don't know if I'm the only one relating though. But that was how I felt.
We normally finish preparing two hours before it hits12 midnight so we go wash ourselves and get dressed in decent yet comfortable clothes. We opened the television for the countdown and eat after it clocks twelve. Yes, we eat. Nothing more.
We're not really fond of setting off fireworks because we have pets. And fireworks scare dogs really well that causes them to get stressed and bleed. So we mostly hide them in our bodega where it minimizes the frightening sound. With food, of course.

But you know what my highlight of any vacation is? SUNSETS! Here are some photos I recently took:
To you, it may seem that my vacation was boring but it was more than enough to fill my heart.
That is all, thank you for reading! <3
